Excellent video quality and a solid upgrade for hot weather

I recently purchased the VIOFO A229 Ultra 2CH and installed it in my Mahindra XUV 3XO using the HK6 hardwire kit. So far, I am very impressed with its performance.

The video quality is excellent during both daytime and nighttime, and number plates are captured clearly in most situations. The front and rear cameras provide good coverage, while HDR helps manage headlights and difficult lighting conditions at night.

One of the main reasons I chose this dashcam was its supercapacitor-based design, as my previous dashcam used to shut down frequently in Hyderabad’s extreme summer heat. The A229 Ultra feels much better built and has been working reliably so far.

The parking mode is also very useful when the camera is hardwired. The mobile app and initial setup take a little time to understand, but once configured, the dashcam works smoothly and requires very little attention.

Overall, it is a premium and dependable dashcam with excellent recording quality, useful parking protection and good heat resistance. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a reliable dual-channel dashcam for Indian driving and weather conditions.

Absolutely phenomenal

After wasting money on qubo i finally went with A229 ultra and i am amazed. Other manufacturers claim to have starvis 2 etc etc but none comes close to viofo when it comes to clarity and videos. The app is a true solid companion with zero need to touch the camera. I am extremely happy with my purchase and the team also is very supportive and professional. Thanks for this device.
